Ch 10: Disclosure Prelude
Author: Da La
It was evident that Wen Ran, this assistant, wasn’t entirely focused. He chopped vegetables while watching Ning wash them, her fingertips reddening from the cold water.
Sighing inwardly, he was about to say something when,
“Master, shouldn’t you watch where you’re cutting? It’s easy to injure yourself like that.”
Hearing Ning’s helpless tone, Wen Ran fell silent for a moment. Something seemed amiss, but he always listened to Ning, so he obediently replied, “Alright.”
Ning glanced at his male master, Wen Ran, who always appeared gentle and composed in his presence, handling matters calmly and steadily.
It was the first time he had seen such a mele zerg—gentle and obedient. In Ning’s azure eyes, there sparkled laughter and boundless tenderness, as if they carried a hint of starlight.
When two zerg from families with strict etiquette dined together, the table would not be filled with much conversation, yet it felt unexpectedly warm.
After finishing his meal, Wen Ran leisurely set down his utensils and looked up at Ning, who had done the same.
“Full?” he asked.
Ning nodded, her frosty hair swaying, finally resting on her face.
“Yes, Master.”
Wen Ran smiled, preparing to discuss his return to the military with his female companion.
Unexpectedly, Ning seemed visibly stunned after hearing him out, her delicate face showing a hint of confusion.
Ning knew that his male master has joined the military before, but… emotions flickered through his blue eyes, even stronger than before.
Wen Ran’s attention remained fixed on Ning. Not understanding his emotional shift, he stood up and embraced him, gently stroking his slender back.
Indeed, he only stiffened for a moment this time, without trembling.
“Ning, tell me what you think, alright? Is it not good for me to go out to work?”
Ning pursed her lips, her fair fingers gripping the hem of Wen Ran’s garment.
Not good at all! How could a male zerg go out to work!
However, he quickly composed himself. A female zerg with too many emotions would be looked down upon by males.
He lifted his head, his eyes slightly reddened from the earlier emotional turmoil. “Everything will be as you wish, Master.”
Wen Ran was captivated by Ning’s pitiful appearance, so he didn’t dwell on Ning’s complex emotions. After all, his mother used to be like this, and what did his father do again?… He forgot.
As night fell, Wen Ran stared at the cylindrical object in his hand and the jade-like back exposed before him, covered in scars like wild branches.
Ning’s eyes reddened, whispering softly, “Master, could you help me? I seem unable to reach that area.”
The once aloof voice was now filled with a seductive allure, causing Wen Ran’s breath to momentarily catch.
Wen Ran felt his female companion was deliberately tempting him, as he had everything prepared when he came out after bathing.
His slender and graceful figure, the white shirt slipping off his shoulders, the reddened fingertips, and the white gel-like substance.
He seemed to read a hint of temptation and anticipation from Ning’s innocent face, but Wen Ran shook his head, convinced he must be mistaken.
With fingertips covered in white ointment, Wen Ran slowly moved across Ning’s mottled back, eventually reaching the sensitive waist.
While Wen Ran remained composed, pressing the pinkish waist, his gaze fixed on Ning’s inadvertently exposed earlobes.
So red.
The air around them seemed to thicken with Ning’s slightly hurried breathing, mingled with a hint of iris fragrance.
Ning finally couldn’t bear it anymore, grabbing Wen Ran’s wrist, his blue eyes watery as he looked at him, seemingly aggrieved for no reason.
Wen Ran took hold of Ning’s hand, both of them covered in white ointment. As Wen Ran moved, they emitted sounds that made one blush and heartbeat race.
Watching Ning’s face turn crimson, Wen Ran’s throat tightened, but he refused to act.
Ning impatiently rubbed against Wen Ran. The pheromones of a male zerg were teasing him. His voice hoarse, “Master, aren’t you going to give me a kiss?”
Staring at Ning like this for a while, Wen Ran realized how irresistibly tempting a bold Ning was. He silently resolved to encourage Ning to be more assertive in the future.
With a hand covered in ointment, Wen Ran touched Ning’s cool and soft lips, pinching and kneading. Ning’s eyes reddened even more, eventually entwining around Wen Ran’s neck.
In the chaos, Wen Ran caressed the crisscrossed back, sighing, “It’s just applying medicine, but it’s become like this. It might be seduced away by others.”
Ning wanted to say it wasn’t true but, in the end, this male zerg on him prevented him from speaking.
Note: The ointment can be used.

“Hey! Stop daydreaming!”
Looking at the male lost in thought with his chin resting on his hand, Luo Wen frowned and bluntly called male zerg useless creatures.
Wen Ran remained expressionless but indicated he understood his mistake and was willing to take on the upcoming task of inspecting the sickbeds.
Luo Wen grunted in annoyance, after all, who wouldn’t want to slack off?
The sickbed room was just next door, and Wen Ran didn’t take long to arrive.
The military females bedridden here were indifferent to external matters, and Dr. Luo Wen wouldn’t actively mention males coming in.
As Wen Ran entered the sickbed room, it caused a collective intake of breath.
The male stood tall and straight like a pine tree, dressed in military attire that accentuated his figure—broad shoulders, narrow waist—striding in with long legs, like a deity descending to earth.
He gently inquired about the female patients’ conditions one by one, his slender fingers holding a pen, writing and sliding on the electronic screen, a sound that seemed to stir the curiosity of these sick females.
But unfortunately, this curiosity was soon noticed by the male zerg who walked in, turning them envious.
“Oh, my zerg god, could there really be such a gentle male?”
“What’s going on? What’s going on?”
“The Faros male master came to visit him! He’s an A-grade male bug! How can Fero be so lucky!”
The murmurs among the sick females grew louder, and Wen Ran sensed that the noise would disturb other comatose patients, so he turned around.
Oh? Wen Ran raised an eyebrow. This was Augustus, his former romantic rival?
He walked slowly towards them, stopping where the attention of many zerg was focused.
Wen Ran wouldn’t pale in front of military females, let alone now when he stood taller than a frail male zerg.
Augustus had a gentle smile on his face, but he was cursing inwardly.
A bunch of filthy military females! If not for the need to quell the turmoil from before, why would he bother coming here?
He looked at the military female who looked terrified, slowly taking his hand.
“Faro, you really worried me.”
Faro looked at the anxious gaze, feeling a chill and trembling in his heart. If this male zerg hadn’t been using those devices on him before he went into battle, he wouldn’t have been hit due to his delayed reaction, nearly costing him his life.
But he dared not resist; after all, this is the life of a female zerg, right?
“Please keep quiet inside the sickbay,” his voice was neither loud nor soft, but deep and pleasing, enough to drown out the whispers and draw Augustus’s attention.
Augustus looked at Wen Ran’s changing expressions, eventually settling on a very affable look.
Wen Ran: …?
“Wen Ran!” Augustus grasped his hand, and Wen Ran attempted to pull away, but it was stuck.
Wen Ran: …
“Is Ning alright? He’s not feeling well. Please take care of him!”
The scene momentarily fell silent, with only the display screen quietly previewing the day’s imperial news.
Wen Ran watched the male zerg, whose facial emotions were too exaggerated, feeling an itch in his hand all of a sudden.
