Ch 14: “You, of all people, think you’re qualified?”
Author: Da La
Seated on the sofa in the living room, Wen Ran carefully perused the communication messages before setting down the terminal.
Relaxing his body, he sank into the soft cushions.
Luo Wen informed him that there was no news from the Male Zerg Association, and Augustus was at home recuperating, no different from usual.
Although ensuring the safety of zerg required taking precautions and preparing for potential dangers in advance, Wen Ran’s disdainful expression clearly indicated his steadfast adherence to the philosophy of letting things take their natural course.
A light click sounded from the bedroom door, and Wen Ran instantly stood up, his gaze fixed on his female monarch.
At the moment, his female monarch was undoubtedly the top priority.
Ning’s white hair was styled into a fishtail braid, with a blue ribbon tied at the end, adorned with scattered tassels. Clad in a light gray sweater and casual pants, the whole person appeared even gentler, like a shy budding white rose, irresistibly enticing.
Wen Ran had never seen Ning in this light before and found himself momentarily captivated.
He strode over, slightly stooping, and planted a loud kiss on Ning’s porcelain-like face.
Ning blinked slowly, feeling the cool, soft touch swiftly brushing against his face, carrying the comforting scent of his male master.
He tried his best not to pay attention to his own flushed face.
Blushing, he earnestly began to introduce to the male the places they could choose to go out and play this time.
In fact, his male master referred to this outing as a date.
But Ning didn’t understand the meaning of the word, so his male master took it upon himself to demonstrate what a “date” entailed, through actions rather than words.
Ning pursed his lips. This was his first time accompanying his male master on a date, and he had to behave well, erasing the impression of being cry-baby, shy, and unreliable.
Imperial Capital Cinema — a place to watch movies
Sky Garden — a place to dine
Interstellar Square — a place for leisurely walks
Crystal Hotel — that’s for…
Hearing this, the two exchanged a glance, and Wen Ran seriously pondered for a moment.
Considering the excessive advancement of technology nowadays, it was generally not advisable to go out, and he certainly didn’t want his female monarch to be seen by others. That was absolutely not acceptable.
Therefore, the two inexperienced zerg deliberated for a while and unanimously decided to visit all but the last one.
Both were very satisfied and did not think that these three options were “as common as dirt.”
It was well known among zergs that when a couple went to the cinema, they either watched a romantic movie or a horror movie.
To better suit the atmosphere of the day, Ning looking at the pink bubbly billboards, decisively pointed at it, and Wen Ran naturally complying.
But when the two sat in the darkened theatre, surrounded by intimate couples, even emitting some discordant noises, Wen Ran silently covered Ning’s ears. The zerg community’s atmosphere was so open-minded, and Ning was a local. If he learned bad habits, he wouldn’t even have time to cry.
Ning was indeed a little shy, not because of his surroundings but because of the scorching warmth near his ears. It was the male zergs’s hand, which, though not soft, felt reliable, and because the sound was isolated, he could only hear his increasingly frantic heartbeat.
Elegantly poised Ning couldn’t help but curse inwardly at the zergs. Damn it, his date!
As soon as the movie ended, Wen Ran pulled Ning out of the theatre.
He couldn’t help but look back at Ning. It was fine not to look, but when he did, it didn’t feel right.
Look at this pitiful little look; he must have been scared by those shameless zerg inside.
However, Ning pulled down the corners of his mouth, secretly crossing out this cinema as a dating spot.
A small episode couldn’t affect the joy of a newlywed couple, and they quickly forgot about this embarrassing part and went to the Sky Garden.
“Sky Garden,” as its name implied, was indeed located at the top of a towering building.
A huge glass dome enclosed the entire top floor, offering a panoramic view from high above.
They were greeted by a sub-female.
Wen Ran had seen few female attendants before; the planet he was originally from did not have corresponding genders.
Therefore, he had a different curiosity about sub-females.
The sub-female clearly felt Wen Ran’s subtle scrutiny, but his gaze was not intrusive. On the contrary, it was gentle and polite, making the zerg not dislike him at all. He subtly gestured to Wen Ran with his eyes and even looked at Ning with a slightly provocative gaze.
So what if she was the richest? He still had to please the male zerg.
Seeing this scene, Ning found it somewhat amusing but also coldly stared at the sub-female who didn’t know their place.
In front of his male master, humility, obedience, and even weakness were understandable.
But that didn’t mean any zerg could bully him. Ning gently wrapped his arm around the male’s shoulder and leaned his head against him.
Wen Ran was surprised by his female monarch’s intimacy, so he instantly put aside his curiosity and happily hugged Ning.
The female attendant bit his lip, but when he inadvertently saw Ning buried in the male zerg’s arms, her mood instantly changed from arrogant to terrified.
The deep, terrifying indigo eyes turned icy and menacing when they landed on him, causing him to step back involuntarily.
Wen Ran watched the sub-female’s face change dramatically, politely asked a question based on courtesy, and, after receiving a reassuring answer, no longer paid attention to her.
After all, they were already at the dining table.
Wen Ran carefully asked about Ning’s preferences and thoughts, and he added a few dishes himself.
While waiting for the dishes, Ning went to the restroom.
Coincidentally, the sub-female who had just guided them was making a phone call in the restroom.
“It’s the female zerg who remarried.”
“…”
“Really, he doesn’t mind being old.”
“…”
“But his male is truly exceptionally handsome!”
Ning quietly listened on the side, not too angry. After all, they were all talking about him.
“I feel like that male is interested in me. How should I seduce him?”
“…”
“Even that kind of person can be accepted, his standards can’t be high.”
“…”
Clatter — the sound of something hard falling.
The female attendant looked at the female zerg in front of him in horror, his previously arrogant demeanor instantly vanished.
Ning stepped forward slowly, looking down at the sub-female.
Suddenly, he laughed, the laughter seemed to form a thick layer of ice, stabbing directly at the sub-female in front of him.
The sub-female trembled, his legs softened, and she knelt directly on the ground.
“Sir, I was wrong, sir, it’s not what you heard! Sir!”
Ning slowly squatted down, pinching the sub-female’s jaw to make him lift his face.
“You, of all people, think you’re qualified?”
The cold voice stated a fact, and before the female attendant could brew up any indignation, Ning directly let go of his jaw.
Even if he was ill, Ning was still a true female zerg, and his strength was no less than that of these delicate sub-females.
With a flick, there was a crack, and the female attendant’s jaw dislocated.
Ning’s angelic face carried a faint smile, lightly lifting the corners of his lips, “You’re welcome.”
The author has something to say:
(With hands on hips, looking fierce) What audacity, daring to underestimate our Ning Meiren.
(Bowing repeatedly) So sorry, I’m late again. (Kneeling down and banging head on the ground vigorously (T▽T))
