Ch. 15: He’s gone mad
Author: Da La
The sub-female’s crying and yelling were piercing to Ning’s head, making his head ache.
Ignoring the lying zerg on the ground, he went straight to the self-dispensing hand sanitizer to clean his hands, then promptly left, closing the door quietly behind him.
The sound of Ning closing the door was quiet, as if the sub-female would vanish from the hotel without a sound.
Just as Ning returned, the exquisite dishes were already laid out on the round table, making one’s mouth water.
Naturally, Wan Ran got up and walked over to Ning, pulling out a chair for him and leading him to sit down.
In the splendid private room, the powerful fingers of the male zerg wrapped around Ning’s hand, recently cleaned and slightly cool, creating a clash of heat and coolness, not contradictory but stirring Ning’s heartbeats.
Ning probably felt he was being led astray by this deviant male, otherwise, why would he allow the him to do things that a female would normally do?
Ning lowered his eyelids slightly, the dense lashes casting shadows under the light, naturally concealing the expression in his eyes.
He was adept at being flexible, but compared to Wan Ran, he seemed rigid and formal.
It’s really strange, this male is really strange.
As Ning sliced through the alien beast meat, he couldn’t help but think how strangely it made him feel.
While Ning was preoccupied with his thoughts, Wan Ran was holding his breath the whole time.
He looked up at the rectangular table, feeling quite aggrieved, thinking that a table meant for couples should be small and intimate, shouldn’t it?
How could it be such a formal table!
Just as Ning forced himself to focus on eating, he keenly felt the gaze filled with resentment.
He couldn’t help but raise his head. “Master, are you troubled?”
Wan Ran paused, then voiced his thoughts.
After speaking, he glanced meaningfully at the empty space next to Ning, perhaps indicating he could move the chair next to Ning.
Ning watched his master staring at the empty space beside him, his eyes shining, and felt a tremor in his heart, gripping the utensils tightly.
But he remained dutifully explaining why the table was so long.
“Master, a male zerg can have many females, and if they sit on a narrow table during meals, it would seem crowded. So, this type of table is custom-made for families.”
Of course, he didn’t mention that such a long table could actually accommodate an entire zerg laying on it, satisfying some males’ preferences.
Ning recalled the sub-female from earlier and began to feel a sense of unease creeping in, slightly disheartened.
He shouldn’t have such thoughts.
“How about you, Master? Do you need one too?”
Wan Ran, a strict advocate of one-on-one relationships, frowned at these words.
He stood up, walked over to Ning, and embraced him with both arms, encircling Ning in his embrace.
Wan Ran rarely faced Ning without expression, lowering his eyes to the obedient and gentle consort. In his heart, an inexplicable surge of anger rose.
For Ning, being a local zerg, it’s normal for him to have such beliefs.
He might not have changed yet, because they haven’t been together for long.
He might not have become dependent on him yet because Ning is truly outstanding.
He might not have fallen for him yet because he hasn’t done well enough.
But why did he suddenly want to bring Ning closer to him, surprising Ning? Unexpectedly, Ning did not respond to him as usual, but stared at him, stubbornly seeking an answer.
Wan Ran suddenly remembered Ning’s cold and aloof attitude towards other zerg, how could it be possible?
Although he thought so, Wan Ran’s expression remained unchanged, still expressionless.
Ning seemed to have lost his courage suddenly, and he lowered his head sharply, his pale hand clutching the soft fabric tightly.
“My virtuous female monarch, what do you think?”
The hoarse voice suddenly rang in Ning’s ears, seeming to not let him off, asking again.
“What do you think, Ning? Do you think, this home, needs it?”
Waiting is always agonizing, Ning just kept staring at his hands, not thinking of anything.
Wan Ran’s eyes flashed with a hint of disappointment, a sigh brushing past Ning’s ear, seeming to be filled with a lot of helplessness.
Following that was the sound of the door being closed, Ning shivered all over, as if waking up at that moment.
He looked around blankly, Wan Ran had left.
…
He’s gone mad.
He’s gone mad.
How dare he defy his male master? At this moment, shouldn’t he just go along with what the male master said, smiling and saying, “As you wish”?
But Ning lay on the table, feeling that he suddenly didn’t want to.
He didn’t know what to do now. The “Monarch Handbook” didn’t teach him how to please a male when he angered him.
Ripples appeared in Ning’s eyes, reflecting traces of confusion. Endless exhaustion engulfed him.
He, …
What should he do…
On the luxurious dining table, the female’s silky white hair lay scattered, like a cocoon binding the pale beauty inside.
As if time had stopped, the zerg inside the room and the one outside.
Outside the room Wan Ran crossed his arms, leaning against the wall, his legs naturally curled up, ignoring the gazes cast on him, absorbed in his own thoughts.
3…
2…
1…
0!
Wan Ran immediately turned around and gently pushed open the door.
But the scene made his heart skip a beat, and his pace quickened as he embraced the nearly shattered zerg.
At this moment, Ning’s body couldn’t stop trembling, his breathing rapid, as if he were in great distress.
He raised his head slightly, but then buried his head in Wan Ran’s chest again.
“Master… Master…”
“I know… I shouldn’t interfere… in your private matters.”
Ning said lifelessly, his hands tightly gripping Wan Ran’s shoulders, his body curling up tightly, as if by doing so, he could reduce his size, making it easier for Wan Ran to hold him and not adding pressure.
Wan Ran tried to open his arms wider, letting Ning cling closer.
The desire to teach him a lesson disappeared, replaced only by a dull ache in his heart.
He shouldn’t have forgotten the sense of impending doom when his wife first arrived.
He, …
Shouldn’t be like this.
“Don’t be afraid, Ning, don’t be afraid, I’m still here.”
His palm gently stroked Ning’s slender back, and for a moment, all he could hear was Ning’s gradually calming breath.
This meal didn’t go well, with the two inexperienced zergs making one mistake after another.
At this point, Ning regained his lost composure, awakening from his fear. He struggled to break free from Wan Ran’s embrace.
His eyes clear, he reached out to touch Wan Ran’s shoulder, kneeling on one knee, trying to calmly apologize to the male zerg.
“Master, I was wrong, and I accept punishment.”
Wan Ran bent down to help him up, but unexpectedly, Ning dodged his touch.
Wan Ran’s eyes grew heavy as he watched his female monarch kneeling on the ground before him, his obedient expression no different from before, but something seemed unclear.
The author has something to say:
Don’t be afraid (hands on hips), I’ve crawled my way here through thick and thin. We still have a lot in store for tonight (sparkling eyes).
