Ch 7: Returning to the Military Headquarters
Author: Da La
In the aircraft, Wen Ran’s strength was clearly too much for the pampered male zerg in front of him to resist. The female zerg following behind him hesitated, afraid to approach.
For a moment, the situation became tense.
The light stretched Wen Ran’s shadow, adding a hint of intimidation.
With a slight downward glance, Wen Ran rolled up his sleeves to his elbows, revealing strong veins beneath his healthy, clean skin. He looked at the bug at his feet with a somewhat ambiguous smile, which carried a hint of threat.
“Are you formidable?” His voice was low, with a touch of menace.
The male zerg was terrified, his small green eyes darting around with malice, but ultimately, he cried and begged for forgiveness.
“No… no, I was wrong. Are you interested in him? I’ll give him to you, I’ll give him to you.”
Acknowledging your mistakes and changing them is commendable.
Wen Ran slightly loosened his grip, and Sobe rushed back to his group of female zergs like a wisp of smoke, angrily ordering them to beat him up.
Wen Ran: …
So, Wen Ran “gently” pushed aside the group of female zerg. As for why they couldn’t get up, it was probably because they weren’t in good physical condition. Then, in a gentle and practical manner, he taught the male zerg how to behave.
Finally, he grabbed the male, who was now bruised and swollen, lowered his voice, and asked, with a threatening tone, “What did you do wrong?”
But how could the usually overbearing male zerg know what he did wrong? He could only lie there, pretending to be dead, and hoping for help from his useless females.
It seemed that his plea was heard by the zerg gods, as several Imperial Police officers appeared before them.
Wen Ran knew that the Imperial Police were equivalent to their interstellar police, in short, they were arresters and couldn’t be resisted.
“Excuse us, gentlemen. We’re sorry to disturb you. But fighting in public affects public order, so please come with us.”
Wen Ran released his grip, stood up straight, and exuded an indescribable sense of nobility. His tall and slender figure was quite eye-catching, and his handsome, waveless face was as attractive to these female zerg as poppies.
The Imperial Police softened their expressions, and even felt reluctant to speak loudly to such a precious male zerg.
But work had to be done.
So, Wen Ran was sitting in the interrogation room.
He helplessly closed his eyes and listened to the accusations from the male next door. He seemed unable to refute anything.
He opened his eyes and looked at the police officer across from him, who was waiting for his answer, with his hands spread out.
“As you can see, I did hit him.”
“Why did you hit him, sir?”
“To maintain public order?”
The officer: ?
A confused questioning couldn’t solve any problems. After a few minutes of deadlock, another officer with a smile pushed open the door and entered, looking at Wen Ran’s face with obvious admiration.
“Sir, according to General Lyle’s testimony, you saved him, and as you have military merit, you can be released without charges.”
But the smile on the officer’s face faded the next moment.
“But your rank is too low, and Sabe insists on pressing charges against you. After discussions at the higher levels, your punishment is to serve in the rear of the military base.”
Wen Ran paused, he was familiar with the military base, after all, he had been sent to the battlefield as soon as he arrived, because he was useless to the female zergs, so he was sent to live or die on the battlefield.
The next second, Wen Ran’s eyes lit up.
Serve?
“Is there military pay?”
Instead of hearing the expected complaints and anger, there was only a hint of excitement in his calm tone.
“Is military pay issued?”
The officer was stunned for a moment, “Yes.”
Wen Ran was very pleased. He didn’t expect to find a job just by buying medicine and beating up a zerg.
He nodded satisfactorily, “I’ll go.”
Wen Ran followed the officer to complete the enrollment procedures. After being informed to report at 8 a.m. sharp the next morning, he left the police station feeling satisfied.
But he unexpectedly saw a familiar figure, Ning?
Ning, panting heavily, recalled the message he had received as soon as he returned home from work. He had no idea that his master was so powerful in fighting.
He quickly walked up to Wen Ran, his azure eyes unusually gentle under the already darkened lights, but with a hint of panic ripples. He raised his hand as if to touch Wen Ran, but hesitated for a moment, as if afraid of angering the male zerg.
During the day while Ning was resting at home, his mind was entirely focused on his male master. He had failed to notice that the incident at the Colosseum had made it to the front page of the Imperial Gazette.
Of course, Augustus would not let the storm pass. He bought out the water army, and the forums under the Gazette were filled with curses against Wen Ran, even suggesting that he had influenced himself. If it weren’t for the fact that he hadn’t announced his marriage, then…
Ning looked up at the male zerg, who was looking at him tenderly.
It was he who had caused him all this trouble.
And now, his master was going to serve?
Wen Ran didn’t understand Ning’s thoughts. He held out his hand to touch Ning’s.
Cold.
Wen Ran naturally held Ning’s hands to warm them, and decided to share his joy with him.
“Ning, I found a job.”
Ning froze for a moment, his silky strands of hair fluttering gently in the evening breeze, making Wen Ran reach out and smooth them down.
Ning, who was in poor health and couldn’t withstand the wind, shivered slightly, perhaps because of the news he had just heard, his body trembled.
He raised an unattractive smile and congratulated his master.
At first, Wen Ran didn’t notice anything unusual about Ning. Later, on the aircraft, during dinner, Ning seemed very absent-minded, bordering on coldness.
Wen Ran sensed something was wrong, so he took the time to have a deep conversation with his female monarch, who was about to go to the bathroom.
