The Bird and the Golden Cage: Chapter 1

Chapter 1

Author: Mr. Big Horn

Yan Zhen took off his watch and tossed it into the small tray by the door. The butler approached, taking his bag and coat, and informed him that Su Jinxin was already waiting in the room.

Yan Zhen paused for a moment before remembering that it was Friday.

Work had been so hectic that he had lost track of the days.

But Su Jinxin remembered.

True to his name1, he was cautious and considerate.

Or perhaps it was better to say that he was extremely professional.

Thinking back, Su Jinxin had been with him for over three years now.

It had all started when Yan Zhen had just returned to the country, looking for someone to spend the weekends with. Originally, he only intended to have a brief fling, but if it didn’t work out, he would find someone else. Unexpectedly, Su Jinxin turned out to be thoughtful and agreeable, understanding his needs and preferences, and over time, Yan Zhen had never felt the need to change.

This was largely because Su Jinxin was truly excellent.

Without clothes, he was soft and flexible, slender and energetic, with great stamina, and willing to try anything. He was an exceptional partner.

When dressed, he was cheerful, generous, well-spoken, and poised. Occasionally bringing him along to social events never caused any embarrassment.

There was also the fact that Su Jinxin had someone in his heart—a childhood sweetheart, a true love, studying art abroad, with considerable expenses. Su Jinxin took on work to support that person’s education. They had a very good relationship.

Yan Zhen had never paid much attention to this aspect.

Su Jinxin didn’t hide it from him either.

Whenever a holiday approached, he would openly count the days, looking forward to it, becoming especially sweet. When he unintentionally smiled, it was like a melting toffee. Seeing this, Yan Zhen often sighed, wondering if anyone would ever smile like that for him, and fearing that someone so dependent on their lover might not be a good match.

However, since Su Jinxin was happy, Yan Zhen said nothing—after all, it was precisely because of this that Su Jinxin could be so clear-cut and efficient, never harboring inappropriate thoughts.

Ultimately, this was what Yan Zhen valued the most back then.

He wasn’t like some in their circle who enjoyed the thrill of rebellious lovers. He didn’t engage in making someone cry, throw tantrums, or create dramatic scenes. He disliked such trouble.

He preferred his companions to be obedient.

Of course, it would be even better if they were lively.

In this regard, Su Jinxin was impeccable.

Today, he was like a happy silver-throated long-tailed mountain sparrow2.

Prepared and waiting, freshly washed and fragrant, lying on the bed with his hips raised, humming a cheerful tune, and tapping his feet to the beat. When he heard Yan Zhen’s footsteps, he turned back with a flirtatious glance: “Mr. Yan, let’s make this count today! I won’t be able to come next week.”

Yan Zhen thought for a moment: indeed, summer vacation was approaching.

Really, he had been too busy. He had lost track of both the small and big dates.

Yan Zhen sighed inwardly, raised his hand to stroke Su Jinxin’s soft hair, and couldn’t help but smile at his bright expression: “Don’t overdo it, save some energy for your little boyfriend.”

Su Jinxin blushed, stuck out his tongue, and lowered his eyes as he snuggled closer, wrapping his arms around Yan Zhen’s neck and pecking his cheek.

So soft and obedient.

Yan Zhen’s heart warmed, and he tightened his embrace, pressing Su Jinxin’s slender waist closer as he kissed him deeply.

Despite saying to “save some energy,” he couldn’t help himself. Yan Zhen maintained a dignified demeanor outwardly but felt conflicted inside. After three years, even if it was just a pet cat kept at home for that long, one would feel a bit uneasy if it ate someone else’s fish, let alone a living person.

Especially with skin so fair, such a flexible waist, a sweet voice, and such warm and tight insides.

So sensitive. Before long, his eyes and brows were flushed, his whole body turning pink, with red-tipped nipples glistening as they trembled with each thrust, both beautiful and erotic.

At first, Yan Zhen was mindful of not leaving marks due to the special occasion. But as his blood surged, he couldn’t help but bite and suck, leaving teeth marks on Su Jinxin’s chest, thrusting more fiercely and rapidly, hitting all his sensitive spots, making Su Jinxin cry out and beg for mercy, tears streaming down his face.

But looking down at his tear-streaked face, with long, sparse eyelashes clinging to delicate teardrops, Yan Zhen couldn’t bear it. So he slowed down, gently rubbing his back, tenderly and slowly kissing away his tears: “You’re getting more sensitive. I remember when you first came to me, no matter how much it hurt, you wouldn’t make a sound. Almost fainting, you would still try to seduce me, saying how good it felt…”

This was meant as a joke.

Su Jinxin’s dazed, teary expression was endearing.

Yan Zhen couldn’t help but tease him.

Unexpectedly, Su Jinxin panicked, hastily wiping his eyes with the back of his hand: “If Mr. Yan doesn’t like it, I…”

“I don’t dislike it. Haven’t I said that many times?” Yan Zhen quickly grabbed his hand, kissed it, then kissed his eyes, “I like it. You’re just perfect as you are.” He kissed his nose, then his lips, murmuring between kisses, “After all these years, you still get flustered so easily. That hasn’t changed a bit.”

Su Jinxin didn’t know how to respond.

He just chuckled awkwardly.

Wrinkling his nose, he playfully nudged Yan Zhen with his head.

Yan Zhen’s temple throbbed, and he bit down on Su Jinxin’s soft lips again: “Only your mischievous side has improved.
